Everyone and their dog are looking to be a filmmaker these days. There are hundreds of schools around the world offering film courses, how do you make a decision? What are the benefits of using a “well-known” school over community college? More importantly, where do these schools leave a person for a career? I cannot stress enough how competitive the film industry is and how easy it is to be discouraged and drop film all together. Having some sort of direction and evolving goals really solidifies a future in a changing industry, otherwise chalk film as another life experience.
